RMV1 Digital Parking Meter

The RMV1 has superior enforcement capabilities, incorporating a bay status indicator as well as SneakerNet (patented). Through Reino's patented SneakerNet system, the RMV1 meter is able to provide meter information to approved hand held devices, through its infrared interface located on the keyboard, to determine if a meter requires visiting for enforcement purposes. The meter can be manufactured to include a "Bay Expiry Indicator". The indicator is located on the rear of the meter and indicates from a distance (e.g. across the street) if there are any expired bays in which cars are currently illegally parked. This indicator improves officer efficiency by reducing the number of meters that need visiting. Officers only need to visit meters requiring attention.

The RMV1, like all Reino products, has been developed to allow for upgrades as they occur. New innovations can be installed easily in a cost-effective manner, complimenting the extended life expectancy of the meter housing.

The RMV1 can be installed with wireless GSM communications and alternate payment functionality, such as credit card and mobile phone acceptance, in addition to coin payment. An optional internally mounted GSM/GPRS modem facilitates real time exchange of data between the units and a parking information management system. The management system can route self-diagnosed faults almost instantly to a range of communication media including sms and pager.
